About NPEG
The National Police Estates Group (NPEG) is a collaboration of police estates professionals who come together when required to identify and solve common problems. Drawing on the collective knowledge, experience and talents, NPEG can harness this to create the sort of impact that supports all estates teams working in policing. Using out combined expertise, NPEG can also influence others to improve things be that within our own organisations or with other stakeholders such as the Home Office, Central Government, NPCC, APCC, Blue Light Commercial and the like.
NPEG members have much in common, working as they do in similar environments with similar colleagues, facing the same challenges and pressures. With 45 forces dealing with very similar issues, it makes that sense for people to want to get together, collaborate and share best practice. Be that through regular communications, online workshops and CPD sessions or conferences NPEG provides the vehicle that enables this.
It’s also more efficient, through NPEG, to tackle common problems together. This not only improves the quality of the solution but ensures a level of consistency across UK policing, as well as reassurance to a force that they are on the right track. As well as this NPEG has shown that it can effect changes to legislation; support CPD; identify resource shortfalls and make the case for additional support, something that is particularly important in the face of environmental targets and legislation.
